BASE FUEL RATE

£1.01 per litre

Our Fuel Escalator uses the weekly diesel pricing information applicable to our UK Fuels fuel arrangement. UK Fuels states that its Diesel Tracker pricing is linked to a publicly quoted European trade price and changes weekly.

The first 20% increase above our base rate is absorbed within our standard transport rate. Once the applicable price reaches the next £0.02/L step above that allowance, the surcharge applies.

The surcharge increases by 0.4% for every £0.02 per litre increase. The same mechanism operates in reverse when diesel prices fall.

HOW IT WORKS

Example 1 — Fuel at £1.18/L: within the included fuel allowance. Fuel surcharge: 0.0%.

Example 2 — Fuel at £1.50/L: applicable surcharge 6.0%. On £2,000 haulage, £2,000 × 6.0% = £120 fuel surcharge. Total transport charge: £2,120.

Example 3 — Fuel at £1.80/L: applicable surcharge 12.0%. On £2,000 haulage, £2,000 × 12.0% = £240 fuel surcharge. Total transport charge: £2,240.

WHAT THE SURCHARGE APPLIES TO

The fuel surcharge applies to the transport and haulage element of the agreed quotation only.

It does not apply to ferry or Eurotunnel charges, road tolls, customs charges, permits, waiting time, storage, parking, handling, additional collections or deliveries, or other third-party and separately identified charges.

WEEKLY REVIEW

The applicable fuel price and surcharge are reviewed weekly. The relevant price will be taken from the UK Fuels pricing information applicable to Didier International Transport. The applicable surcharge for a particular quotation will be confirmed on the quotation where relevant.

This Fuel Escalator forms part of the Didier International Transport Terms & Conditions of Carriage. By accepting a quotation subject to the Fuel Escalator, the Customer accepts the applicable fuel adjustment.
